Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Trophi (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, account holders, and anyone interacting with Trophi.

2. Description of the Service

Trophi provides tools to track gaming achievements, visualize mastery progress, receive AI-powered insights, and interact with completionist-focused features across supported platforms (e.g., Steam). Some features may still be in development or available only to specific users (e.g., Early Access).

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Trophi. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account and connect third-party gaming profiles (e.g., Steam).

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity performed under your account.

5. Connecting Third-Party Platforms

When you connect gaming accounts (e.g., Steam), you authorize Trophi to access permitted information from those platforms.

You acknowledge that:

  • Each platform has its own terms and privacy practices
  • Trophi is not responsible for changes or limitations imposed by those services
  • Access may be restricted or revoked by the third-party provider at any time

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Trophi for:

  • Illegal activity
  • Harassment, abuse, or exploitation
  • Attempting to breach, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform
  • Unauthorized scraping or data extraction
  • Uploading harmful code (malware, scripts, bots, etc.)

We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules.

7. AI Disclaimers and Limitations

Trophi provides AI-powered suggestions, insights, and informational assistance.

7.1 Acknowlegdement

While we strive for accuracy, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI responses may contain mistakes, outdated information, or factual inaccuracies.
  • AI outputs should not be interpreted as official instructions, authoritative guides, or fully reliable strategies.
  • You remain solely responsible for your decisions in games, gameplay choices, and platform usage.
  • AI content is provided “as is,” without warranties regarding correctness, safety, or completeness.
  • Trophi is not liable for any damage, loss of progress, or negative outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

7.2 Copyright Safety and Training Data

Trophi’s AI features may use publicly available information, licensed content, user-provided content, or other legally accessible sources to generate insights and suggestions.

We do not intentionally reproduce, redistribute, or provide verbatim copies of copyrighted guides, walkthroughs, or third-party content. AI-generated outputs are designed to be transformative, original, and informational, not a replacement for the original works.

If you upload, reference, or prompt the AI with copyrighted material, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use that content. Trophi does not assume liability for copyrighted materials submitted by users.

If any AI-generated content inadvertently reproduces protected material, please notify us, and we will remove or modify the content as appropriate.

8. Community Guidelines

When participating in Trophi’s community spaces — including Discord, future forums, comment systems, or any public-facing channels — you agree to follow these rules:

8.1 Prohibited Behavior

You may not engage in:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or abusive behavior
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or prejudice based on race, gender, orientation, disability, nationality, religion, etc.
  • Sharing NSFW, harmful, graphic, or illegal content
  • Political discussions, activism, or debates of any kind
  • Advertising, self-promotion, or promoting third-party products or services
  • Soliciting money, donations, trades, or financial transactions
  • Off-topic discussions unrelated to gaming, achievements, or Trophi
  • Spamming, advertising, or unsolicited promotions
  • Impersonation of Trophi staff or other users
  • Disrupting conversations, trolling, or intentionally provoking others

8.2 Enforcement

Trophi reserves the right to:

  • Warn, mute, restrict, or ban users
  • Remove content that violates guidelines
  • Permanently revoke access to community spaces
  • Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities

Moderation actions may be taken at Trophi’s discretion, with or without prior notice.

8.3 User Responsibility

You are responsible for your own behavior and content submitted in community channels. Violation of these guidelines can also result in suspension or termination of your Trophi account if necessary.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, features, and technology used in Trophi are the exclusive property of Trophi unless otherwise stated.

You may not:

  • Copy
  • Modify
  • Distribute
  • Sell
  • Create derivative works

…without explicit written permission.

Your own achievements, data, and gameplay information remain your property.

10. Early Access Disclaimer

If you are using Trophi during Early Access, you acknowledge that:

  • Features may be incomplete or unstable
  • Data accuracy may vary depending on platform availability
  • Service interruptions may occur
  • Feedback may be used to improve the platform

We appreciate your participation and contributions as the product evolves.

11. Payment & Subscriptions (Trophi+)

Trophi offers a paid subscription tier (“Trophi+”) that unlocks expanded AI features beyond the free tier:

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe; Trophi does not store sensitive payment information
  • Subscription pricing, billing cycle, and applicable taxes are disclosed before purchase
  • Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time via the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period
  • Your use of paid features is governed by both these Terms and Stripe’s terms of service

11.1 Fair Use Policy

Trophi+ subscriptions include access to AI-powered features with generous monthly usage allowances designed to comfortably support typical completionist workflows.

To protect service quality and operational sustainability for all subscribers, Trophi applies a fair-use ceiling on AI prompt volume per calendar month. The vast majority of subscribers will never approach this ceiling through normal gameplay assistance.

Subscribers who consistently reach the fair-use ceiling will be notified in-product and may be contacted via the support channel registered with their account. In rare cases of sustained abusive usage, Trophi reserves the right to temporarily throttle or, after notice, terminate access without refund.

Web search and other usage-limited features have their own separate caps disclosed in-product. The fair-use ceiling described here applies specifically to general-purpose AI chat prompts.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Trophi if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • Continued operation of your account poses security risks

You may terminate your account at any time through your settings or by contacting support.

Upon termination, your access ceases immediately.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Trophi is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including:

  • Accuracy of data
  • Availability or uptime
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement

You use the Service at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: Trophi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) during the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. When changes occur, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.

Continued use of Trophi after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted according to the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
